Lecturer Ph.D. Sorina Dinescu
Faculty of Biology, University of Bucharest, RO
Dr. Sorina Dinescu is currently a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Bucharest. She finished a bachelor in Biochemistry and followed a Master program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Bucharest. In 2015 she obtained her PhD in Cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying human adipose-derived stem cell differentiation from the same university. During her doctoral degree, Dr. Dinescu received a scholarship to study at the University of Oslo that helped her gain research experience in an international environment. Dr. Sorina Dinescu won the L'Oreal for Women in Science (Life Science section) prize in 2016. Her expertise covers molecular biology and transcriptomics, stem cell biology and differentiation, scaffold-based tissue engineering applications, as well as molecular mechanisms involved in cancer dynamics.
