Florina Vasilescu is MD in pathological anatomy, graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", Bucharest, Faculty of Medicine. She is PhD in 2015 with the thesis „Cellular and molecular targets in lung carcinoma therapy”. Dr. Vasilescu's areas of interest are: mammary gland pathology, ENT pathology, gynecological pathology, digestive pathology, general surgical pathology, cytology, immunohistochemistry, pleuropulmonary pathology, soft tissue tumor pathology. Dr. Florina Vasilescu has a substantial research activity: a constant contributor in research projects as a project manager or partner (14 national research projects), author of 63 scientific papers published and communicated in specialized journals in the country and abroad.
